WSOP 2009 Schedule
The 2009 World Series of Poker will host a total of fifty seven events including the ten $10k World Championship tournaments. All the WSOP tournaments will be played at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, USA. Ten World Champion Events will be arranged each worth $10,000. An addition of 2 events have been added since the happening last year including the Seven-card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better and the 2-7 Draw Lowball.
The main change event this year is that re-buy events have been removed, after complaints and allegations from Daniel Negreanu that players with boosted bankrolls ended up buying WSOP bracelets. The WSOP is celebrating its 40th anniversary and it will be hosting a $40,000 No-Limit Hold’em event which is anticipated to attract the very best poker faces from across the world. The winner of this event will secure an anniversary bracelet which will be of major value.
