Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth ranks among the most successful and most popular Texas Holdem tournament players of the world. His performance at the WSOP is remarkable with a total collection of 11 bracelets and a boosted bank account.
His first success came back in 1989 when Helmuth was only 24 years old making him back then the youngest winner of the main event. Helmuth has been criticized fro his bad manners and his short temper, which seems to have put a shade on his almighty skill altogether.
Phil Hellmuth Jr. currently lives in Palo Alto, California he is a member of Ultimate Bet Poker and he has published a book called “Play Poker like the Pros”. Helmuth has promoted the WPT in which he has participated himself on several occasions landing in third, fourth, eighth, tenth and fourteenth position over the years.
He has been recorded to say that he feels like a failure which is just one of the reasons he does well on the game as he is obsessed with success and perfection, his standards are too high preventing him from loosing.
Every time poker champion Phil Hellmuth wins a WSOP bracelet he gives it away to a beloved, he has given bracelets to his mum his dad his wife his three sisters and brother to his two sons to some of his close friends. Hellmuth keeps his first bracelet to himself.
