Kerry Packer


The famous Australian billionaire Media Tycoon Kerry Packer was also known for his wild gambling habits. Being known as a big whale his was invited to Las Vegas very often by various casinos.

Losing millions of dollars in various games never stopped Kerry Packer from tipping the dealers. On occasion he left a $1 million tip to be shared amongst all the Bellagio Casino dealers. Until his death in 2005 he was a flamboyant and respected personality who often managed to stay under the radar not showing off.

Sometimes he could not avoid getting into situations where he had to show off just a little.

On a specific night on a table nearby the one Kerry packer was playing a Texan player was acting really loud and obnoxious and finally wanted to play for more money per hand.

Packer asked the guy how on earth he believed he could act and behave like he did.

The Texan answered Mr. Packer: “Because I am worth $100.000.000”

To which Kerry Packer said: “I’ll flip you for them”

The Texan calmed down for the rest of the evening and Packer was seen sitting with a small grin on his face.
