Brock t_soprano Parker
Players that have been studying poker hands online through tracking software like Market Pulse or Poker Crusher, have surely come across the nickname “t_soprano”. And I’m surely not talking about Tony from the Sopranos.
Parker or “t_soprano” proved his skills on the evening of Sunday the 7th of June 2009 at the Rio Las Vegas when he put a WSOP bracelet to his resume on the $2,500 6-Handed Limit Hold’em event. Parker cashed out $224,000 for his first place finish, as well as the coveted WSOP bracelet.
His previous strick was last when he cashed out $100,000 for a sixth place finish on the $10,000 Limit Hold’em Championship last year. Just for a while on Sunday we thought that Daniel Negreanu was going to be the winner and make an addition to his collection with a fifth WSOP bracelet as he was flirting confidently with a three-handed play, but unfortunately Negreanu wasn’t able to recover from the shift pace which lead “t_soprano” to slip in on his first World Series of Poker bracelet.
Congratulations to Brock “t_soprano” Parker on his very first World Series of Poker bracelet. To be fair to Negreanu, he couldn’t really ask for a stronger opponent in a heads-up game as Parker is a real upcoming talent when it comes to Limit Hold’em.
